Statements of Information (SI) are extremely important in real estate transactions. The sooner that they are submitted to the title company for clearance the better. A helpful tip would be to include the SI with your listing paperwork when taking a listing. This way you have the information at the time the listing is taken.
The statement of information, or SI, helps the title companies search the public records to clear items that may cloud title. The SI help separate two people with the same name, from one another.
