The Role of Government, Pondered

So I read an article this morning discussing the role of the FHA and it's impact on the housing market. It made me wonder, and I would like to pose the question to anyone interested in sharing his or her opinion...

"How much should the government really get involved with the economy?"

My opinion is that the government should step in anywhere from 10-65% of the time depending on the circumstance. The rest should be up to the private sector.
