Farming 101 (aka. Prospecting)
Farming 101
Some people refer to prospecting as "farming". The metaphor is related to a farmer cultivating their field. They plant a seed, water it, pay attention to it, nurture it, and watch it grow into something great. Farming, as it is referenced here, is about target marketing.
In the real estate industry, farming is a term used to focus marketing efforts to solicit real estate listings. There are many ways to "farm", and just a few are mentioned here.
